The Secret Burden

This happened during the time between my arrival and the birth of my younger brother. The reason behind this choice stemmed from my father’s desire to limit the number of daughters in our family, as I already had two step-sisters. He encouraged my mother to terminate her pregnancy with a potential little sister of mine. While my younger brother was allowed to enter this world, this situation left me with deep emotional wounds.
